Raves for Rembrandt
It’s not easy, being a great artist, particularly an ageing great artist, as these pictures show in the National Gallery's moving new exhibition Rembrandt: The Late Works. The critics are smitten. Beg, borrow or steal a ticket. Timed entry, adults £18.
Dizzy heights: Mondrian Rooftop Bar
Former Sea Containers House, on the south bank of the Thames near Blackfriars Bridge, has sprouted a Mondrian Hotel designed by Tom Dixon. If you can’t get on the list for the 1970s-deco Rooftop Bar, dine downstairs and watch the world skate, run and stride by on the Thames Path.
